The Brecks
Colveston Manor is in the middle of 'The Brecks', one of the great natural areas of Britain. This web site helps you explore the landscape, wildlife and history of this area spanning 370 square miles across Norfolk and Suffolk in the heart of the East of England.
Ickworth House
A gem in the collection of the National Trust, Ickworth House is dominated by its huge central rotunda, flanked by two massive wings. Housing an impressive art collection, the 1800 acre (729 hectare) parkland offers woodland walks, cycle paths and family activity areas.
Grime's Graves
Grime's Graves is the only Neolithic flint mine open to visitors in Britain. A grassy lunar landscape of over 400 shafts, pits, quarries and spoil dumps, they were first named Grim's Graves - meaning the pagan god Grim's quarries, or 'the Devil's holes' - by the Anglo-Saxons.

Sandringham - The Norfolk retreat of HM The Queen
Summer Home of HM The Queen, set in the 60-acres which have been called "the finest of the Royal gardens", with a fascinating museum of Royal vehicles and mementoes, the principal ground floor apartments with their collections of porcelain, jade, furniture and family portraits are open to the public from Easter to October, and the surrounding parkland is open year round.
Bury St Edmunds Abbey
The extensive remains of the wealthiest and most powerful Benedictine monastery in England, shrine of St Edmund. They include the complete 14th-century Great Gate and Norman Tower, and the impressive ruins and altered west front of the immense church.
